NJ follows VT in Gay Marriage

New Jersey’s Supreme Court has declared that gays must be entitled to the same rights and protections as civil heterosexual marriage, but held that the state’s constitution does not require New Jersey to extend marriage to gays.  In essence, gay marriage is neither so fundamental as to rise to the level of a Constitutional violation nor is it covered under New Jersey’s Equal Protection clause.
