Happy Blogiversary, H,aP!

On 14 October, Henry Blair became the first African-American to obtain a US patent (1834); George Eastman patented paper-strip photographic film (1884); Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier (1947); and Eisenhower was born (1890).

Stating the obvious: in 2006, Helvidius, a Pachyderm, was born.  Happy one year blogiversary.  Thank you to all for reading. :)

  1. I think elephants live to be quite old, so I wish you many happy returns of the day.

Thank you for writing, you make me think. There does not seem to be enough thinking in the world these days.

Don’t let the hard work and the busy schedule get you down. Sooner than you think you will be looking back at this time with fond memories.

    May God bless you.

  2. Congratulations! I always enjoy reading your perspectives and appreciate how well researched your posts are (as opposed to those of us who just make up stats as we go along :-)).

  3. Thank you, Sunday School Teacher! :) I’ll resume blogging soon – busy weekend (took the GRE so I can teach it, watched the Red Sox, went to a pro-life thingie, and got really sick).

    Thank you. :)

  4. Hey, congratulations! Keep up the good work.

  5. Thank you, Pat. :)

  6. Happy Anniversary! I wonder if I let one year of blogging go by unrecognized? Now you have me curious! :)

Keep up the informative and good times!

  7. Thank you, Tammi. :)

You can always go to your dashboard, blog stats, and click on “by month.” That will give you a rough idea when you started. Or, you can click on “Manage,” and it will show you your posts in order.

  8. Hi Bridget,
Yes, I missed my blog anniversary. Oh well, as long as I remember the wedding anniversary. :)

9/21/07 is by blogversary. It seems like longer to me? Does it to you?

    Have a great day!!!

  9. Tammi,

Well, happy belated blog birthday. :)

It seems like a long time, in some ways; in other ways, it seems really recent. I think it’s because I blogged into the ether for a few months until Hank found all of us. Then life became more entertaining.
