Sic Semper Tyrannis

Update: when all the poll numbers came in, McCain won.  Blogger guess: Huck and Paul campaigned heavily in rural areas like Lynchburg and C-ville, which may have reported their numbers earlier.

The state of Presidents only gave 42% of its vote to John McCain (according to Fox News, only 36%) even though he’s the only candidate with a mathetmatical chance of winning the nomination.  Huckabee took 51%, Ron Paul 3%, Mitt Romney 3%, and other candidates or rounding error accounts for the remainder.

Yes, John McCain, Virginians – a rather red state – would rather throw their votes away on candidates who dropped out, “suspended” their campaigns, or cannot mathematically win the primaries rather than vote for you.

~To be a Virginian either by Birth, Marriage, Adoption, or even on one’s Mother’s side, is an Introduction to any State in the Union, a Passport to any Foreign Country, and a Benediction from Above.  (Anon.)

  1. Nice.

  2. I think you’ve got the numbers confused, theo… McCain got fifty…

  3. Numbers were as of the time of the post. No confusion.

  4. ahh… much better. wish they would have stayed that way.
